::Biography::
Formed
in Yokohama, Japan on 1997, emotive hardcore band,
COMMUNITY TRUST is consists of 5 people: Kim (VOCALS),
Seiji (GUITAR), Toshihiro (GUITAR), Kay (BASS) and
Hiroshi (DRUMS). Having been together for almost 9
years, this dynamic band has appeared on several compilation
CD's including "Gods Child Music 2004 Sampler", "Express
Our Will 2" (14 All), "Keep His Friends Alive" (Radical
East), "New Found Hope VA" (Out Ta Bomb) and "A Bright
Side of the Darkness" (Born Records). Their first
MCD "Answer of Silence," released on Impak Muzik,
demonstrated COMMUNITY TRUST's talented musical abilities.
However, they've matured significantly since that
release, and have certainly established themselves
as one of Japan's most sincere hardcore acts!
They've toured the Philippines last October 2005 and
those who were fortunate to see them live were floored
by their intense, energetic live performance and technical
prowess. Their 3 song demo was sold out before they
even finish their set on the third leg of the tour.
They've just recently toured Japan with FC Five (Japan),
Arkangel (Belgium), and Jesus Project (Belgium).
COMMUNITY TRUST's blend of heavyness, melody and technical
prowess flows in the similar veins of Shai Hulud and
Naiad but it is very evident that they have their
own unique style of song structuring. It is heavy
yet melodic. Their intricate dual guitar layering
is phenomenal; the bass and drum works is dense and
driving; while most hardcore bands nowadays write
silly lyrics about love lost and heartache in attempt
to market themselves, Community Trust keep it hardcore
by writing positive lyrics about not losing hope and
the improvement of one's self and it's been delivered
with such conviction and sincerity.
