::Biography::
FC
FiVE started off back in early 2000, consisting of
Tomy [Vocals], Hiroto [Guitar], Kousuke [Bass] and
Kim [Drums]. They start writing songs and doing gigs
in their local area, Ibaragi (suburban area of Tokyo).
With their emotional and strong "new school meets
old school" type of unique style of sounds and their
amazing performance skill, they got great reaction
from their local area. With tons of sing-along, high
jump and big smile can be seen anywhere they played.
But throughout the years they have been known to incorporate
a more melodic feel into the high speed and energy
filled hardcore that many have to come to know as
FC FiVE. FC FiVE prefers to be described more specifically
as Japanese Spazzcore with hints of hardcore, punk
rock, emo and metal. Their long, sweaty and energetic
shows are a testament to their music ideals, as all
the members believe in rocking out on stage and having
fun.
They
have released their own demo in 2001 which has been
sold over 2000 copies. In 2002, FC FiVE released their
first EP entitled "Final Countdown EP" through Hong
Kong label Gods Child Music, and in 2003, they released
their 1st full length album "Memories" through Japanese
indie label 1138. FC FiVE also appeared on many compilation
albums. Moreover, the first EP has been re-released
after running out of stock by Gods Child Music. The
record on selling keeps breaking into a new high.
In
2002 FC Five played at the TAIWAN FORMOZ FEST along
with fellow Japanese band "BRAHMAN". FC Five have
toured other South East Asian countries such as Korea,
Singapore, Hong Kong.
As a highlight of their career, FC FiVE went to the
US to have their first US tour (11 cities) with Stretch
Arm Strong, Bane, Only Crime (member of good riddance,
decendents), Comeback Kid, Give Up The Ghost and The
Hope Conspiracy in summer of 2004. During their US
tour, there was a huge hardcore festival "HELLFEST
04", and FC FiVE played 2 songs at the main stage
of this festival during the Bane set. They signed
Roadrunner Japan Inc. and planning to release their
new album in next spring. FC FiVE's history has just
started, and their name will attack all over Japan
and the world.
Hellfest
05 on August 21, they played with As I Lay Dying,
Bloodjinn, From Autumn To Ashes, Haste The Day, Killswitch
Engage, The Red Chord, Remembering Never, Still Remains,
Throwdown, Today Is The Day & many many bands.
