Overview:
Fonzie is from Portugal and
has been a punk rock phenomenon since 1996, and we
think that they're destined to break more hearts here
with their driving guitars, melody-filled hookks,
and hip-shaking style.
After
making a big name for themselves by winning the Millencolin
Cover Contest, the four ladykillers of Fonzie give
you Built To Rock, a refreshing, earnest debut that
is sure to impress fans of Millencolin, Midtown, The
Ataris, Blink-182, Mr.T.Experience, and Weezer. Songs
like "February 30", "Drive My Vespa
To The Movies", "Yeah", and "Rock
My Heart" will leave you and your sweetheart
wanting to llisten to this one over and over again.
Fonzie
also continues to pprove that the punk rock community
is a global one, with recording taking place in Sweden
at Studio Underground with Pelle Saether (No Fun At
All, Satanic Surfers, 59 Times The Pain). Also assisting
with vocal duties on "Imac Girl" was Sweden's
No Fun At All-frontman, Ingemar Jansson. With recordings
like these, and those from Canadian favorites Belvedere
and Deville, the American punk rock scene is going
to keep getting more diverse and international if
we have anything to do with it. Frankly, we just can't
wait.
With already extensive touring in Portugal and parts
of Western Europe under their belts, Fonzie is aching
to take on North America. They'll finally get their
chance this fall in Canada and additional dates in
the US. Get ready. cu Fonzie's gonna rock your heart.
For
fans of Millencolin, Midtown, The Ataris, Blink-182,
Mr.T.Experience, and Weezer.
